I have played millions of hands of twenty-one. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was still underage. I have gambled on online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent a lot of bankroll at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it very hard to beat the game.
I still enjoy the game and wager on a frequent basis. Over the years I have enjoyed a type of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get rich with this tactic or defeat the house, however you will experience a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the idea that vingt-et-un seems to be a game of streaks. When you are on fire your on fire, and when you are not you are NOT!
I play basic strategy 21. When I lose I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Whenever I hit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the bet back down to the original value.
I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets extremely exciting at times. If you win a few hands in sequence your bets go up very quick. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the MGM a couple of years ago with $750 after 45 minutes using this method! And a few weeks ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can relinquish much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be astonished at the runs you notice betting this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar table.
Bet $5
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $5 wager
Bet $5
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Bet ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 10 dollar wager
Wager 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $20
Bet $20
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 20 dollar bet
Wager twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total bet of forty dollar
Wager forty dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the first $40 wager
Wager $40
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total bet of eighty dollar
Wager 80 dollar
Take 80 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $80 wager
Bet 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total bet of $160
Wager 160 dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the first 160 dollar wager
If you departed at this point you would be up $315 !!
It is difficult to go on a streak this long, but it often happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.
